Full Governing Body Meeting (and chocolates)

The staple diet of a school governor The Full Governing Body (FGB) met tonight, with a packed agenda. We completed our Register of Members and conducted our usual formalities to open the meeting. In Mr Cowling's Headteacher report, we heard about the fantastic opportunities the children have had recently - the Young Voices Choir and the inter-school cycling competition to name just two. We heard about the latest investment in a new KS1 structured reading scheme which will support teachers in delivering the curriculum, and the new maths equipment that has been purchased for in-class use. Updates were provided on staff training that has been undertaken, and upcoming training for staff. As always, we discussed problematic parking around school and reiterated that our pupils' safety is the absolute paramount.
